Wrath of Gods is the compelling award winning documentary starring Gerard Butler that records the behind the scenes footage of director Sturla Gunnarsson and cast and crew during the filming of the epic feature Beowulf and Grendel in the mountains of Iceland. This captivating story by Jon Gustafsson gives and in depth look at the sacrifices made and obstlacles overcome as unbelievable catastrophes and disasters threatened to shut down production on every turn. In this hilariously intense look at filmmaking the unwavering spirit of do or die perseveres throughout pre and post production as Norse Gods reign their wrath over determined filmmakers. You will be held spell bound as financial woes, unforgiving Icelandic storms, along with a leaky Viking ship prove over and over that what could go wrong, goes wrong! Wrath of Gods is must see entertainment bliss, documentary making at its finest!

This documentary is actually much better than the movie it is about, Beowulf and Grendel. I especially like the part when they have the pagan blessing, then Sturla falls on his head. If I remember correctly, the pagan priest also fell. The whole thing is very good, with some very disturbing parts. The documentary itself isn’t disturbing, it just opens your eyes to some disturbing traits in the director, namely Sturla. Totally unintentional, I’m sure. I already knew some things about Sturla. This just confirmed it. All in all, a very good documentary that has won a lot of awards. Good job, Jon Gustafsson.
Wrath Of Gods is a wonderful documentary and i recommend it to anyone, no wonder it has won so many awards. I found the story of what they all went through to make Beowulf and Grendel even more fascinating than the film and i am glad Jon Gustafsson captured it all for us to see. Just shows you what belief, dedication, courage and determination can do and i take my hat off to all involved they are an example to us all.
Just great
